Amsterdam, 1 June - Tiqets, the leading online ticketing platform for museums & attractions, and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, an iconic art museum in Madrid, have partnered up to co-sponsor an art-inspired bus for the Madrid Pride Parade, designed by Spanish artist Miranda Makaroff.

For the second year in a row, Tiqets and Thyssen-Bornemisza have joined forces to celebrate Pride. The ticketing platform and cultural institution will be co-sponsoring a bus for the Madrid Pride Parade with the support of Madrid’s Community. The bus will feature live music and drinks, as well as local LGBTQIA+ artists, and creators. The event serves as the launch for a special Pride edition of Versiona Thyssen, the international art competition for young creators.

Miranda Makaroff, a multidimensional artist and designer, will design the bus that will tour Madrid on July 1st. Her unique style is a combination of vibrant colors and patterns, which has led to collaborations with brands such as Desigual and a profile on Instagram with 465K followers. Makaroff's design will be inspired by the Versiona Thyssen art competition and it will feature reinterpretations of artworks from the Thyssen Museum's collection.

We're thrilled to be partnering with the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum for the second time to co-sponsor our joint Pride bus. It’s exciting to join the vibrant celebration of the LGBTQIA+ Pride parade, showcasing the power of art and culture to promote unity and acceptance. Our participation reflects our commitment to inclusivity and creating a joyful, authentic experience for all. We're honored to be a part of this incredible event once again, contributing to the festive atmosphere in Madrid.  Laurens Leurink, CEO of Tiqets

The Tiqets x Thyssen Pride Bus serves as the launch for a special edition of the popular #VersionaThyssen competition - co-sponsored by Madrid’s Community, Japanese brand Uniqlo and Prio Art Space. Hosted by the Thyssen Bornemisza Museum, the competition requires participants to create their own version of one of the museum's iconic artworks. This year, the artworks will feature themes, symbols, and figures related to Diverse Love within the LGBTQIA+ community.

Versiona Thyssen will run from June 1st until July 2nd. The winners will be announced on July 15th. For more information, visit: https://www.museothyssen.org/concurso-versionathyssen.
