Casa de les Punxes was chosen as this years location for Spain’s Remarkable Venue Awards in Barcelona. The awards ceremony, held multiple times a year in rotating cities, highlights venues that have displayed exceptional experiences to visitors from around the world.
To kick the evening off, guests were offered a special tour of the venue, and were let in on all the hidden secrets that the building has to offer. Shortly after, they were guided onto the beautiful rooftop terrace where the presentations and awards ceremony took place.
A special presentation was done by guest speaker Marta Ochôa and Rita Gomes from Parques de Sintra, one of Portugal's top performing venues. Ochôa shared how they won the World Travel Awards best conservation company for the sixth year running on their management of cultural and natural heritage and how they are safeguarding and enhancing the cultural landscape of Sintra.
Tiqets’ presentations were given by the newly appointed Regional Manager of Spain and Barcelona, Jaume Vidal, and Tiqets CEO Luuc Elzinga and CSO Maarten Raaijmakers. Here, they announced the exciting future developments venues can expect from Tiqets in 2019 as well as diving deeper into the Tiqets achievements in Spain.
Tiqets CEO, Luuc Elzinga also hosted a special question and answer session to further highlight Tiqets commitment to its Spanish venues.

The Tiqets Remarkable Venue Awards were established to recognize and celebrate the best attractions and experiences in the most visited cities around the world. The first Tiqets Remarkable Venue Awards was hosted in Paris in 2017, with winners including the Musée d'Orsay and Fondation Louis Vuitton.
