Breakfast and bubbly at the historical Weltmuseum Wien: Vienna hosts its first ever Remarkable Venue Awards.
Vienna has been added to the roster of Tiqets’ globetrotting Remarkable Venue Awards in 2019. Tiqets’ decision to host the awards in Austria’s glamorous capital follows the strong growth the city has exhibited in the past few years. To kick the morning off, guests were invited to attend a champagne breakfast at the historical Weltmuseum Wien, Austria’s largest ethnographic museum and one of this year's winners.
Following the breakfast, Tiqets’ Regional Manager for Central and Eastern Europe, Norbert Racz guided guests into the auditorium where the first presentation of the morning took place. Jamie Kiyoshi, the CEO and founder of the Italian company, Guideman Group. Kiyoshi shed light on the importance of sustainable tourism and how their application of lean thinking in tourism management contributed to their success as a group.
Tiqets’ head of Venue Product, Patrick Toolan, then shared Tiqets’ achievements in Vienna over the past year and the company’s plans for its future product vision. To conclude the morning’s events, Tiqets’ Chief Supply Officer, Maarten Raaijmakers, gave out this year's awards and congratulated the winners on their achievement.
Tiqets loves working together with our partners in Vienna, and we’re excited to develop tourism in this beautiful city even further. That's why we selected Vienna to be part of the annual awards because we want to help visitors discover the fascinating history and the gorgeous cultural treasures this city has to offer. The venues we work with showcase this perfectly and we are proud to be a partner in that effort.Maarten Raaijmakers, Tiqets Chief Supply Officer
